Two-day RYA modules for sailors with existing experience who want to take the next step. Each module runs from 09:15 to 16:30 and blends on-water coaching with shore-based theory.
Four modules are available:
- Day Sailing - rigging and boat preparation, navigation fundamentals, understanding wind and tides, and the seamanship needed for enjoyable, safe day sailing
- Seamanship Skills - man overboard recovery, anchoring and mooring, advanced boat handling, handling unexpected situations, and essential knots and ropework
- Sailing with Spinnakers - working with both symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers, focusing on sail trim and boat handling for downwind sailing
- Performance Sailing - rig tuning, sail trim, boat balance and mark rounding, whether you are heading for club racing or simply want more control in a range of conditions

What's included
- Tuition from qualified, experienced RYA instructors
- All boats, wetsuits, buoyancy aids and safety equipment (footwear is not provided)
- Full use of the Findhorn Watersports facilities during the course
- RYA certificate on successful completion
What to bring
- Packed lunch and plenty of snacks (no catering on site; hot drinks provided)
- Refillable water bottle
- Footwear that can get wet (old trainers, water shoes or dinghy boots) - no flip-flops or open sandals
- Warm layers and a waterproof jacket
- Towel and a change of clothes
- Sun protection - hat and sunscreen

- Duration: 2 days, 09:15 to 16:30 each day
- Recommended: RYA Level 2 or equivalent experience
- All technical and safety equipment provided
- Hot drinks available throughout the day
