This intensive 3-day program will equip you with the knowledge, techniques, and certification needed to deliver RYA Powerboat courses to others.

The RYA Powerboat Instructor Pre-Course Skills Assessment is an essential step in your journey to becoming a certified Powerboat Instructor.

Designed for complete beginners, these sessions offer a hands-on opportunity to take the helm and experience the excitement of driving a powerboat under the guidance of a qualified instructor and are the perfect introduction to life on the water for both adults and children.

Designed specifically for children aged 8 to 12, this one-day course provides hands-on experience and covers key elements from the RYA Level 1 Powerboat syllabus, all delivered in a safe and supportive environment.

Ideal for those supporting club training, regattas, or aspiring to the RYA Senior Instructor qualification. This course includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying. Participants must be aged 16+ and hold a Powerboat Level 2 certificate, or equivalent (please call us to discuss if you’re unsure).
