Under the guidance of our experienced and qualified instructors, you will develop better boat handling, enhance your decision-making afloat, and start to fine-tune your sail trim and manoeuvres in a variety of conditions; preparing you for future progression into specialised areas such as racing or seamanship skills.

Course Information:
Duration: 2 days, between 0915hrs and 1630hrs.
Requirements: RYA Level 2 certificate or equivalent experience
Equipment Provided: Buoyancy aids, wetsuits, and waterproof outer layers

Participant Requirements:
Footwear: You must bring your own suitable footwear – either dinghy boots or shoes you don’t mind getting wet.
Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch each day; no catering is provided on-site.

At Findhorn Watersports, we provide high-quality equipment to ensure your comfort and safety on the water. However, for hygiene and safety reasons, we do not supply footwear. Wet, sandy environments are tough on shoes, and appropriate footwear is essential for your safety and performance during the course.

We strongly recommend bringing footwear that fits securely, offers good grip, and protects your toes. Trainers, wetsuit boots, or dedicated dinghy boots are all appropriate. Open-toed sandals or flip-flops are not suitable.
