Course Duration: 2 Days

What You Will Learn
Rigging, launching and landing a multihull dinghy
Basic sailing techniques and manoeuvres
Essential safety procedures and seamanship
Wind awareness and points of sail
Capsize recovery techniques
Basic rules of the road at sea
By the end of the day, participants will have a solid foundation on which to build further sailing skills and experience, opening the door to future training and independent sailing opportunities.

Included in the Course
All necessary sailing equipment apart from footwear – please bring footwear that you are happy to get wet but no crocs or flipflops please. Old trainers are best.
Instruction from qualified, experienced RYA Instructors
Full use of Findhorn Watersports facilities during the day

What You Need to Bring
Suitable footwear (wetsuit boots or old trainers you are happy to get wet)
A packed lunch and sufficient drinks
Towel, swimwear and a change of clothes
Sun protection and warm layers, depending on the weather

Important Information
Participants must be aged 16 or over.
Please arrive promptly at 0915hrs for registration and briefing.
Courses run in a variety of weather conditions. If we judge conditions to be unsafe, we will offer an alternative date or credit.
