Seals
£40.00
Seals is a drop-in day of sailing or wind toys activities (weather dependant) bookable a week in advance, and with a maximum number of 12 children on each day. They run on Saturdays and/ or Sundays, from 1000hrs until 1530hrs.
We will provide a safe and fun environment to build water confidence and sailing ability, and we will provide basic tuition with plenty of fun and games. The Instructors are all RYA qualified, and will also have had additional training in the provision of new and innovative ways to teach sailing.
Buoyancy aids are supplied as part of each course. We will only allow our buoyancy aids to be used which are checked thoroughly and tested to ensure they remain safe.
Wetsuits are also supplied but please feel free to wear your own wetsuit if you own one.
We have a limited supply of footwear, so we suggest that you wear old trainers, or shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. Please no Crocs or flipflops as they catch on parts of the boat and can be dangerous to the wearer.
Please make sure your child brings a towel, warm clothing to put on after your course, including shoes, and snacks or drinks that you like. Don’t forget to bring suntan lotion – we have some in stock, but your child may prefer to use their favourite brand. It can be very bright in Findhorn, (even when the sun isn’t shining) so a cap or sunglasses are also advised.
Don’t forget to tell us if your child has a medical condition – this is really important so we know what steps to take should an incident take place. It is very rare for a medical condition to prevent someone from taking part in sailing courses, and the more information we have about your child, the better care we can provide. We will manage the information sensitively and in accordance with GDPR.
